Motke Blum Motke Blum is an award winning graduate of Betzalel Academy of Arts in silverwork, enamel, sculpting and painting. Motke has set his Studio in Hutzot Hayotzer in 1969 and is one of the founders of the Artists' Colony. Born in Romania in 1925, survived the Holocaust and arrived in Israel in 1944. Motke blends in his unique creations the essence of old and new, passions, hope and despair, the physical and metaphysical spiritual artistic dialogue. Motke is a versatile artist creating in the different media: Paintings, prints, sculptures, assemblages, jewelry, calligraphy and mosaics, using various materials in his work. Motke had many one-man shows and took part in numerous group exhibitions around the globe such as the Smithsonian Institute, Biennale of prints in Florence and others. Motke's works are included in leading private and public collections. His art was commissioned for government offices in Israel and abroad, and he was chosen to be the leading artist in the worldwide Holocaust project "The Secret Flame of Hope".
