“The process of making art is enigmatic; so I attempt to make visual, those glimpses of memory or ideas which resonate with the viewer. My paintings and prints are connected with the history and nature of our environment and their effect on the individual. Thus my art is a personal view of where we live, rooted in the Bible and the modern surroundings of Israel."
Hadassah Berry trained in Britain, the US and Israel. At her studio you will discover works with Biblical themes brought into a contemporary context, as well as landscapes connecting nature of Israel with our daily surroundings. She paints in oils and water colors, and specializes in producing fine prints. Berry is the recipient of several awards for her work in printing, using novel eco friendly techniques. She was guest artist at 6th Biennial of Prints in India, and has been invited to biennales in Minneapolis and Rome, as well as residencies in St. Petersburg and Budapest. In 2005 she created decorative panels for the Yedidya Synagogue, Jerusalem. Her work is exhibited in museums in Britain and the US, as well as in private collections.
